Dr Joel Adams is a Specialist Anaesthetist based in Perth, Western Australia. Dr Adams attended medical school at the University of Western Australia where he graduated with honours. He completed specialty training in Anaesthesia in Perth and Melbourne, completing fellowships at the Austin and Alfred Hospitals. He is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. 

His professional interests include Anaesthesia for all adult surgical specialties, aside from cardiothoracic operations. Working in both public and private sectors, he has a particular focus on postoperative pain management and the use of regional Anaesthesia to assist with this.

Dr Adams is currently completing a postgraduate masters qualification in Health Management through the University of New South Wales, which has equipped him with skills to work with hospital management and surgeons in order to achieve the very best patient outcomes. Dr Adams is abreast of the latest techniques in Anaesthesia by participation in continuing professional development activities.
