Dr Wallman is an experienced consultant anaesthetist who specialises in anaesthesia and sedation across many major adult surgical specialties including plastic and reconstructive, vascular, neurosurgery, and obstetrics.

He graduated from UWA medical school and gained experience from multiple tertiary hospitals across WA, Victoria and the United Kingdom. During his Anaesthesia training in Perth, he was awarded the prestigious Renton prize for the highest mark in the ANZCA primary examination in all of Australia. He has held appointments as a consultant anaesthetist at The Alfred and Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne. He now works at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital where he is currently the Anaesthesia Head of Department. He has also held executive roles at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and has completed a Master of Health Management. Damien’s interest in leadership hasn’t dulled his passion for direct patient care and he remains committed to the day-to-day care of his patients.
