Dr Andrew Lamb MBChB FANZCA Grad. Cert. Health Professional Education

Dr Andy Lamb is a Specialist Anaesthetist based in Perth, Western Australia.

Dr Lamb attended the University of Bristol Medical School and completed his junior medical training in the UK before relocating to Perth in 2007. Andy undertook his specialist anaesthesia training in Perth and has completed fellowships in paediatric anaesthesia and simulation education.

Andy currently holds a tertiary public appointment at Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group, is a Visiting Specialist at Osborne Park Hospital and undertakes regular secondments to Perth Children’s Hospital in addition to his private practice.  He is currently the Simulation Education fellowship co-ordinator at FSH, supervises the Medical Students rotating through anaesthesia and is a member of the Resuscitation (RRAD) committee for the hospital.

Andy has a passion for crisis management and teamwork training and uses simulated patients and scenarios to provide medical and nursing staff with the skills required to safely manage critically unwell patients. He also regularly instructs on Advanced Life Support, Paediatric Life Support and Obstetric emergency courses.

Dr Lamb will always see and speak with you prior to your surgery. For most patients this will be on the day of surgery following a review of the health questionnaire that will be sent to you before your operation. If you have any complex medical issues or any particular concerns, Andy is more than happy to discuss these pre-operatively by phone or in the rooms.  His main aim is to ensure that your surgical experience is as safe, comfortable and stress free as possible.
