Dr David Janmaat is committed to providing excellent patient care and ensuring that you are safe and comfortable throughout your surgical experience.

David graduated from Flinders University receiving the Australia Medical Association (SA) medal. He completed anaesthesia speciality training at the tertiary hospitals in Perth and undertook further subspecialty Fellowship training in complex airway, paediatrics and aeromedical retrieval. During his training he was involved with teaching including as an instructor on advanced life support courses, research including a publication in Australian Anaesthesia and was a representative for the Australian Society of Anaesthetists.

David currently holds a tertiary hospital consultant anaesthetist position with Fiona Stanley Hospital and is a supervisor of training for anaesthesia and emergency medicine doctors. In addition, he is an aeromedical consultant with the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

When not in the operating theatre or on an aircraft David enjoys spending time with his young family and keeping fit in the outdoors surfing, kite surfing and mountain biking.
